Cage The Elephant’s third album Melophobia was released a little over a year ago to the date. Some bands may opt to play one or two shows in a city and move on to the next one. Cage The Elephant is not one of those bands. The Kentucky based outfit has become tight knit with Chicago having performed on several occasions over the course of the past year. Most recently, the band opened up for The Black Keys during their two night stand at the United Center and before that performed at Lollapalooza.

Her songs are filled with compelling characters that are delightfully strange and hauntingly familiar at the same time. She has a brand new album coming out next week and will give some of those tunes the acid test when she returns to the Athenaum Theater for an XRT show tomorrow night. (Still some tickets available.)
