Live from Studio X
It was a Wednesday afternoon that easily could have been mistaken for a Saturday night. tUnE-yArDs played in front of a packed room full of XRT VIP’s at Martyrs for a lively Live From Studio X performance.
Tonight at 9 PM, tune into XRT to hear a special recording of Spoon’s Studio X performance. Recorded this past September at the Elbo Room just hours before their full length XRT Show at the Chicago Theatre, hear songs from throughout their career as well as tracks from their most recent album They Want My Soul, plus conversation with XRT’s Marty Lennartz.

Merril Garbus & her band performed several songs & conversed with XRT’s Marty Lennartz all before her show later tonight at the Vic Theatre. Cage The Elephant’s third album Melophobia was released a little over a year ago to the date. Some bands may opt to play one or two shows in a city and move on to the next one. Cage The Elephant is not one of those bands. The Kentucky based outfit has become tight knit with Chicago having performed on several occasions over the course of the past year. Most recently, the band opened up for The Black Keys during their two night stand at the United Center and before that performed at Lollapalooza.
Over nearly a decade, Delta Spirit has released four albums, moved from San Diego to Brooklyn, and gained a loyal following with their high energy live shows.
