Now that LCD Soundsystem has avoided the reunion chatter ever since breaking up four years ago, James Murphy has had some time on his hands. Outside of DJ’ing or composing film scores, Murphy has been relatively quiet. That’ll change relatively soon when he opens up his own Wine Bar with his wife in Brooklyn.
James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem fame is one of the artists contributing to the soundtrack of Noah Baumbach’s film While We’re Young, a film about the stresses of middle-age. Appropriately, Murphy lent a cover of David Bowie’s “Golden Years” to the film.
Last week we discussed musicians who put in great performances on SNL. Now we’re taking a look at talented people who could not only perform well on a TV show, but could also host it. It’s a tricky thing sometimes with musicians on TV, because they can be very secluded characters. On the other hand, some have had enough experience with media and television that they would be more than qualified to be a host.
