Damon Albarn Recording New Solo, Blur Material
One of Britain’s busiest and much-revered rock stars, Damon Albarn confirms the release of a new solo album as a “definite possibility.” Albarn told Rolling Stone that he plans to record with Blur during their free time amidst a schedule of festival appearances this summer. The album will be recorded along with XL Records owner Richard Russell, who has worked with Albarn previously. This is not Albarn’s first touch with material outside of his various bands, but this album will be his first official solo release.
