Join us on Blues Breakers this Monday at 9pm for the world premiere of a new song recorded in tribute to Otis Clay. The release of this song will be paired with a live performance benefit on December 1st at S.P.A.C.E. in Evanston. Tickets are now on sale with proceeds from the show and sale of the recording going to the Chicago Coalition for the Homeless.

Last night on Blues Breakers we celebrated the 99th anniversary of the birth of John Lee Hooker with The Hook as our Artist Of The Week.
John Lee Hooker was born 99 years ago today in Tutwiler, Mississippi. When he left the South during the Great Migration John Lee landed in Detroit where he worked for the Ford Motor Company, but he recorded many of her best early records on S. Michigan Avenue in Chicago for Vee-Jay Records.
