The band’s third album was the best selling album of 2005 and has sold over 13 million copies to date. The album features a hidden track that was intended to be a composition with Johnny Cash. Cash passed away before recording it.

2.) The White Stripes - Get Behind Me Satan
The first album from Jack and Meg to be produced in a professional studio. The only White Stripes album never to be commercially released on vinyl, about 600 vinyl copies of the record are in existence that were given to music journalists for review.

3.) Beck - Guero
Ninth album from Beck debuted at number two on the Billboard charts. Later in the year, Beck released a remix album entitled Guerolito.

4.) Wilco - Kicking Television Live In Chicago
Recorded during a four night run at the Vic Theatre, the first live album from Wilco was also the first recorded material with members Nels Cline and Pat Sansone. The album was re-released on vinyl in 2010 containing eight bonus tracks.

5.) Foo Fighters - In Your Honor
Dave Grohl celebrated the tenth anniversary of the Foo Fighters by releasing a double album. With one disc containing the groups traditional hard rock sound, the second disc contains acoustic material that had been rarely performed by the band up until that point.

The band initially wanted this album to be self-titled (much like their 2004 debut album) and instead have the album be differentiated by color schemes on the cover.

The first full length studio album released from the Stones since 1997’s Bridges to Babylon was the longest gap between studio albums of the band’s career.

8.) Jack-Johnson - In Between Dreams
The third album from Johnson features a mango tree on the cover in reference to the name of the studio in which the recording took place.

9.) Bruce Springsteen - Devils & Dust
Third folk album from Springsteen contained many songs that were used during soundchecks and had been written in previous years. A solo acoustic tour followed the release of this album.

10.) Dave Matthews Band - Stand Up
The fourth straight album from the band to debut at number one on the Billboard top 200 chart.
