Laura Marling Performs Live From Studio X [Listen]

The lovely and talented Laura Marling has come a long way in a brief time thanks to her clear, distinctive voice and superlative guitar technique. Her songs are filled with compelling characters that are delightfully strange and hauntingly familiar at the same time. She has a brand new album coming out next week and will give some of those tunes the acid test when she returns to the Athenaum Theater for an XRT show tomorrow night. (Still some tickets available.) Ms. Marling stopped by the XRT studios about a year ago for music and conversation and here it is:

Watch Serena Ryder “Stompa” Live In-Studio [Video]

Canadian singer and songwriter, Serena Ryder, stopped by the XRT Studios to play three new tracks from her new album, Harmony. The album was released in Canada in November of last year, but it won’t be out in the States until later this month. Harmony has already been nominated for two Juno awards in Canada including one for best Adult Alternative Album of the year. She was also nominated for Single Of The Year for her emerging song, “Stompa” – you’ve heard it rockin’ on XRT.
