THE BIG BEAT Song of the Week: The War on Drugs – ‘Thinking of a Place’

The War on Drugs is back with their first new material since 2014’s Lost in the Dream, and the song was released as a 12″ single on Record Store Day. A lot of bands give us re-issues, b-sides, and other re-releases with bonus material in new packaging on Record Store Day, but TWOD went all-in with not only brand new material, but a brand new single that clocks in at over eleven minutes. “Go long or go home.” That’s how the saying goes, right? OK, whatever… We’re just happy that the world has new music from The War on Drugs to enjoy.

Peruse the rest of this week’s playlist and share it with the world.
