The Cubs are taking their World Series trophy on a tour to give fans across the city, state and Midwest a chance to see it in person.
The tour starts Friday, when the Commissioner’s Trophy will be on display for fans to take photos with from noon to 3 p.m. at the new official Cubs Team Store. The temporary address is at 663 N. Michigan.
The next public appearance is next Thursday (12/15) at Chicago City Hall from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The trophy will hit the road afterwards with visits set for Bloomington, Champaign, Freeport, Peoria, the Quad Cities, Rockford and Springfield in Illinois. The trophy will also visit South Bend and Indianapolis in Indiana and Des Moines and other cities in Iowa. More movement across the Midwest is expected as well.
