New Chicago Music On This Sunday Night’s Local Anesthetic

Nick Tremulis just turned me on to the self-titled EP from Chicago duo Bittersweet Drive. Nick produced the EP and it’s quite good. I’ve had a couple tracks from Contorno for awhile but finally found a slot for one on tonight’s Local Anesthetic. Steve Carver will get his annual spin of his exquisite take on Johnny Mercer‘s “Autumn Leaves”, too. Zonkey is the new mash-up long player from Umphrey’s McGee. Here the mash called “Can’t Rock My Dream Face” this evening. You’ve heard Pete Joly in the bands Big Breakfast and For Pilot. Check out his solo debut tonight at 7:30. Bleach Party is the newest project from the one and only Meghan McDuff. She and her bandmates have a new EP Endless Bender that you’ll hear tonight. And we’ll close with another beauty from The Flat Five‘s It’s a World Of Love and Hope just because it’s extry special. New, and sorta new, Chicago music on Local Anesthetic, tonight at 7:30 on XRT.
