Ben Zobrist On Go-Ahead Double In Game 7 Of The World Series – “I Lost Consciousness”

Ben Zobrist continued the trend of Cubs players appearing on talk shows following their World Series victory on Conan O’Brien last night and spoke about what was going through his head in that memorable 10th inning at bat.

Pinch me! Is this Conan O'Brien yelling at me on his show?!!! Find out tonight on TBS at 10pm CST.

Zobrist admits that he was incredibly nervous while stepping up to the plate. He had extra incentive to get the go-ahead RBI after the Indians intentionally walked Anthony Rizzo to get to Zobrist.

When Zobrist told Conan that he lost consciousness following his hit, O’Brien responded, “you did, you actually collapsed, and were in a coma for a week.”

He also told Conan why he was inspired to ride his bike to Wrigley Field while dressed in full uniform over the summer.
