Hear Songs From Jim James & More New Music Thursday

Bruce Springsteen, Jason Isbell, Irma Thomas, Mavis Staples & Warren Haynes have all contributed to: The Musical Mojo of Dr.John: celebrating Mac and his Music and we’ll share their covers.

Jim James has a new solo album coming out and you’ll hear the first track. Cloud Nothings return with a new album! The Rolling Stones after a decade since their last release, The Stones have delivered what many fans have been waiting for – a Blues cover album, Blue & Lonesome! Dave Eggers has announced a project, 30 Songs for 30 Days, with many XRT artists contributing tracks.

The first song revealed, Million Dollar Loan, is from Death Cab for Cutie. Jim James, Amiee Mann, R.E.M. and many others contribute to the project. Speaking of Jim James, his 2nd solo album, Eternally Even” is out this Friday and we’ll give you an advance listen. The Pixies have a new album and we’ll dig a bit deeper with the tune, Classic Masher. You’ll hear something new from Temples. We’ll dig deeper in to the latest from Red Hot Chili Peppers and The Strumbellas. We’re sprung on the new single from Lucy Dakus.

We’re all looking forward to Lydia Loveless’ show at Metro and we’ll share some of her stunning new music. Peter Gabriel contributed a stunning new track to the new “Snowden” soundtrack and we’re happy to share it with you. Phish returns with a new album next month and we’ll give you a sneak peak.

Jack White released “Jack White Acoustic Recordings 1998 – 2016” and we’ll share some of our favorite tracks. John Misty decided to drop a new song, Real Love Baby. Another Chicago Area native, Ryley Walker, has a new album out and we’ll share the gorgeous first single. We’ll dig deeper in new Catfish & The Bottlemen.
