NEW MUSIC THURSDAY: The Pixies have a new album and we’ll dig a bit deeper with the tune, Classic Masher. You’ll hear new Jim James and something from Temples. We’ll dig deeper in to the latest from Red Hot Chili Peppers and The Strumbellas. We’re sprung on the new single from Lucy Dakus. We’re all looking forward to Lydia Loveless’ show at Metro and we’ll share some of her stunning new music. Peter Gabriel contributed a stunning new track to the new “Snowden” soundtrack and we’re happy to share it with you. Phish returns with a new album next month and we’ll give you a sneak peak. Jack White released “Jack White Acoustic Recordings 1998 – 2016” and we’ll share some of our favorite tracks. The Pretenders have a new album coming out (produced by Dan Auerbach!) and we’re going to give you a sneak peak. Florence + The Machine contributed to a movie soundtrack & it’s a stunner. XRT favorite Dawes’ “When the Tequilla Runs Out” is a fun one for the weekend. Green Day had to postpone their sold out Aragon show but we’re still diggin’ the first track, Bang Bang. On the total flipside, Norah Jones’ new album, Day Breaks, is out this week and we’ll share the first single, Carry On. Father John Misty decided to drop a new song, Real Love Baby. Another Chicago Area native, Ryley Walker, has a new album out and we’ll share the gorgeous first single. Billy Bragg & Joe Henry have a new project together & we hope you’ll dig it. We’ll dig deeper in new Catfish & The Bottlemen. We wanted to spin something from our next XRT/Billions First Impressions artist, Adia Victoria.
