Green Day released their first song, Bang Bang, to their upcoming album and it rocks. On the total flipside, Norah Jones’ new album, Day Breaks, is coming out Oct. 7 and we’ll share the first single, Carry On. The awesome, Mike Doughty, has a new album coming out, The Heart Watches While The Brian Burns, and we’ll share the first single. Father John Misty decided to drop a new song, Real Love Baby, and we’ll share it with you. XRT favorite, Hometown heroes, WILCO, return with a new album, Schmilco, and we’re ready to rock it before they take the stage this weekend. Another Chicago Area native (shout out to Rockford!), Ryley Walker, has a new album coming out and we’ll share the gorgeous first single. Billy Bragg & Joe Henry have a new project together & we hope you’ll dig it. We’ll introduce you to North Carolina band, Hiss Golden Messenger. New John Prine on the way! We’ll dig deeper in new Catfish & The Bottlemen. Chris Robinson Brotherhood’s new album, We Know How You Feel, is in stores this weekend and we’ll give you an advanced listen. Phantogram released a new single & we’ll give you a taste. We wanted to spin something from our next XRT/Billions First Impressions artist, Adia Victoria. St. Paul & The Broken Bones premiered a new song, “All I Ever Wonder” and we’ll give it a couple spins. The Jayhawks’ new album, Paging Mr. Proust is a stunner so we want to share. Chicago fave, Whitney, stopped by the XRT studios last month & we wanted to highlight their new album some more. From Austin you’ll hear music from The Wind + The Wave. Mumford & Sons have teamed up with Baaba Maal and many others for their new release, Johannesburg.
