News about U2’s followup album to 2014’s Songs of Innocence has been floating around for some time. Heck, the next album already has a title, Songs of Innocence.
U2’s Spanish fan page, U2 en Espana, caught up with Bono and Adam Clayton while the band was attending a wedding in Valencia. Bono said of the new album. “It’s not finished yet but you will like it. In terms of lyrics it is stronger than WAR, it has more clarity.”
Bono added “The second part of the tour is for 2017 … You might see a few things in September or October though.”
While fans await for official confirmation of a new album, Adam Clayton gave an update on a potential release date. “Soon… .in the next six months.”
