Josh Klinghoffer has already had a lengthy tenure with the Red Hot Chili Peppers, but remains humble about being in the band. “Honor is the only word I can come up with,” Klinghoffer commented.
Marty Lennartz caught up with him just hours before the Red Hot Chili Peppers were set to headline Lollapalooza. Klinghoffer is already a festival veteran having played Lolla back in 2012 with the Chili Peppers and in 2008 as a member of Gnarls Barkley.
Klinghoffer developed a strong relationship with Danger Mouse during his time in Gnarls Barkley, someone whom he recently worked closely with as he produced the Red Hot Chili Peppers latest album The Getaway.
Watch Klinghoffer elaborate on the new experience the rest of the Chili Peppers had on working with Danger Mouse after years of working with Rick Rubin, the creative chemistry the Chili Peppers have when writing music, and more above.
