Neil Young On Not Playing The Hits At Desert Trip – “I Don’t Give A S$*&”

The upcoming Desert Trip shows will feature some of the biggest names in rock & roll history performing the biggest hits in rock & roll history. If you’re going to see Neil Young though, don’t expect a set full of hits.

In a new interview with Rolling Stone, Neil Young revealed his excitement for playing the event. “I was amazed that I was asked to be in it,” he said.

Despite his enthusiasm over being on the bill, Young won’t alter his setlist to play the hits. “I don’t give a s—,” he said. “I don’t care what people want to hear, that’s not why I’m playing. I’m not an entertainer in the classic sense. I play what I feel like playing, and I hope the people like it.”
