Local Anesthetic Playlist For Sunday, July 3, 2016 [Playlist & Free Download]

It was a pleasure to give a spin to The Astronomer‘s newest, You Could Be Something When You Disappear. Charles Kim and band will be at the Square Roots Festival this Sunday 1:30pm. Valaska release in-cho-ate at Wire this Friday night and songwriter/vocalist Dave Valdez will be my guest on this Sunday night’s Local Anesthetic to talk about and play some of the tunes from the new record. I just love (as does XRT‘s Blues Breakers host Tom Marker) Corey Dennison‘s new side on Delmark called The Corey Dennison Band. Corey will be in performance tonight at 7pm at Fitzgerald’s and I’ll see you there. He’s badass. Minor Moon, featuring Sam Cantor, hit a dark and heavy groove on “Catch and Release, Pt. ll: Followed In”. Plenty more just like (except, you know…different) on the new set A Whisper, A Shout. See them at Martyr’s next Thursday, July 14. Strobe Recording‘s Jamie Wagner has been in a bunch of bands in the last twenty years, many of which you’ve heard on Local Anesthetic (Meet the Head, For Pilots, Big Breakfast). His debut solo release is due this summer. Check him and his band in the Foundation Room of the HOB tomorrow night. Finally, The Good are back with Concessions. Release show at Lincoln Hall this Friday night. All these tunes and more (whatever that is) at the link below. Thank you for listening.
