Oxfam America has been active in the United States since 1970, and the Chicago Oxfam Action Corps have been in existence since 2008. The vision: A just world without poverty. The mission: To create lasting solutions to poverty, hunger, and social injustice.

Its proven health approach to urban street violence is now being replicated and adapted in more than 25 U.S. cities and 8 countries.
