LURRIE BELL – 24 HOUR BLUES  This song was written and recorded on the day Magic Slim passed away in February of this year and is dedicated to him.  From the new record, Blues In My Soul.

KOKO TAYLOR with BUDDY GUY – BORN UNDER A BAD SIGN  This is from Koko’s 1993 record, Force of Nature.

BUDDY GUY – BLUES DON’T CARE  Buddy is joined by Guy Clark, Jr. on this track from the new record, Rhythm and Blues coming out tomorrow.

BIG JACK JOHNSON – HUMMINGBIRD  This is from the 2001 album by this Clarksdale bluesman. Jack was born on July 30, 1940, and passed away just a couple of years ago on March 14, 2011.

JAMES COTTON – WRAPPED AROUND MY HEART  James is joined by Ruthie Foster on this song from the new record, Cotton Mouth Man.
