The city of Chicago was “PRINCE-matized” Saturday evening when music icon, Prince, took the stage at City Winery. Prince’s concert came just hours after he finished his performance at George Lucas’ wedding in Hyde Park, in which he was accompanied with a 20-piece orchestra.
The concert was noted to have started at 1 a.m. with tickets ranging from $75 dollars in advance, $100 dollars at the door, and $250 for VIP. With a legendary performer like Prince, who would not want to experience this show?
It was said that Prince performed many of his classic hits such as: “Little Red Corvette” and “1999″, and if this concert was not legendary enough, Prince also performed covers of many other songs from such artists as Shelia E. and Morris Day.
Although concert goers were forbidden to take pictures and videos, the Rock and Roll legend still rocked the audience. The sold-out concert lasted till nearly 4 a.m. With that said, the concert left both the audience and City Winery pleased. According to City Winery’s Facebook page, they stated, “We couldn’t be more honored or thrilled to host the show… thanks for a special night.”
And a special night it was for the audience, with great thanks to Prince!
