Modest Mouse revealed some good news for people who love bad news, or mostly just bad news for their European followers. On June 6, Modest Mouse announced the cancellation of their upcoming tour of Europe and the United Kingdom in order to make time to continue working on their new album. Modest Mouse has revealed some of their new material at various live performances this spring, including a track titled “Be Brave” during their set at Coachella.
Modest Mouse plans to release their new album by next year. The album would be the band’s first full-length since 2007’s We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank, although they released an EP, None One’s First and You’re Next, in 2009.
Fans can only hope Modest Mouse will be full Steam Engenius ahead in order to produce this album and make up for cancelling long-awaited live performances.
