Exclusive Record Store Day Releases By Sir Paul McCartney & JD McPherson
Ah! Record Store Day is just around the corner! April 20th to be exact. This year it will celebrating it’s 6th anniversary with in-store events, performances, signings and exclusive releases by tons of artists.
Among those artists, the Concord Music Group has some special releases by Paul McCartney & Wings and a Chicago favorite JD McPherson!
A live version of 1976 single “Maybe I’m Amazed” will be released on a 12′ vinyl exclusively on Record Store Day. The reissued hit features both stereo and rare mono mixes that will be a must need for any Paul McCartney fanatic. Here is a video of the Paul and the band performing this throwback.
JD McPherson has had a busy year with his non-stop touring and the release of the album Signs and Signifiers. The Oklahoma native has done a bunch of XRT shows this past year and will add a little flavor to Record Store Day. “Fire Big” will released on a 7′ red vinyl. The vinyl offers a unique recording of McPherson due to the analog equipment and vintage microphones used on a 1960s Berlant 1/4 inch tape machine. Check out the video below where McPherson provides his authentic sound to American rock ‘n’ roll and R&B music.
