With a combination of Americana and indie rock sounds, Tuscon-based Calexico has been making music since their debut album, ‘Spoke’ in 1996.
Comprised of John Convertino and Joey Burns, they first played music together in the group Giant Sand. Named after a border town in California, Calexico’s latest album is actually named after a neighborhood in New Orleans.
Algiers was released in September of 2012 and you can take home a piece of it below with this exclusive download, “Maybe on Monday”.
