California folk rockers Dawes are set to release their third album Stories Don’t End. The album was recorded this past September in Asheville, North Carolina and was produced by Jacquire King (Tom Waits, Norah Jones). Dawes will be releasing Stories Don’t End on their own record label in conjunction with their management company Q Prime.
After a break out year which saw the band’s track “If I Wanted Someone” came in as the 21st best song of 2012 on the XRT Listener Poll and a sold out show with Mumford and Sons at the Chicago Theatre, the band is ready to take the next step forward. Speaking to Rolling Stone, frontman Taylor Goldsmith said “These are the same four guys that you’ve gotten to know very well on the first two records, but at the same time, this album feels like a growth.”
Stories Don’t End will be released on April 9th.
