Today on XRT, we celebrate the birthdays of Rock Royalty, Elvis Presley and David Bowie. Late last night, as I was preparing to get on the air, David Bowie’s website announced not only his birthday but that he’s been secretly working on a new album and released a new song and video.
Since this will be David’s first album in over a decade, the longest period ever between Bowie records, we all sort of came to the conclusion that perhaps David had retired. So I can’t tell you how excited I was and what a joyous surprise to not only see the tweet and read the news that Bowie is back but now the speculation can begin on the possibility of a tour. Hmm, can we set odds on Bowie at Lollapalooza 2013?
