Jimmy Page, Robert Plant and John Paul Jones of Led Zeppelin aren’t getting much sleep. Saturday, dinner with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Last night, honored by President Obama, Jack Black and a lot of dressed up people. It was a big deal. The Kennedy Center Honors is the highest tribute paid in this country to people who have made major contributions to the arts. I’m sure a lot of people there were impressed to see Led Zeppelin. I’m sure those three guys were impressed to see Buddy Guy. He was honored as well. Check out Tom Marker’s coverage of Buddy’s excellent weekend adventure to Washington DC. David Letterman was also chosen for the awards. He’s back to work tonight, and will be visited by the surviving members of Led Zeppelin. They are not the musical guests. But the three of them rarely sit down together for an interview, so you don’t want to miss this tonight. That’s tonight on CBS TV, where you’ll also be able to see the broadcast of the weekend’s events the day after Christmas, December 26th. Note to David…don’t ask if the band is ever going to get back together again. That always goes over like a lead balloon…or zeppelin.
