It would take years to navigate the depths of the XRT music library let along figure out how many songs we have. A listener asks, “Is it possible for a sad song to be written on banjo? How many songs in the XRT library contain banjo?”

The instrument itself has a rather illustrious history and has been an integral part in American music history. It’s the instrument that’s flown under the radar, yet loved by many. It’s not a loud instrument like an electric guitar. Imagine a heavy metal song with a raging banjo solo. Yet in recent years we’ve seen a so called banjo revival that has many trading in their guitars.
