One of the most talked about albums of 2012 comes from Leeds band Alt-J. It’s much easier to write their name as “Alt-J” and to call them that as opposed to this. “∆” That’s the symbol that you get when you hit the “alt” and “j” keys on a Mac. “Alt-J” also sounds better than “Greek letter ‘Delta.’” The band made an appearance on The Big Beat with Marty Lennartz earlier this year and they are the recent recipients of the Mercury Prize, a very prestigious award with an incredibly awesome list of past winners. So, on this Monday, check out their video for “Fitzpleasure,” one of the best songs on the album, An Awesome Wave.
