Dave Grohl at Lolla 2011 (photo Nate Azark / WXRT)
Dave’s taking a break from the band in 2013, (drumming with Queens of the Stone Age), but if you closed out Lolla in 2011 on the festival’s south side, you experienced a true treat.
(If not, you can watch the video below.)
Foo Fighters are one of the best pure rock bands today and there’s a reason they have so many hits.
These are songs that bridge the gap between good hard rock and really good pop. Can’t wait until they’re back with a new album…whenever the heck that will be.
- Heads up, Dave drops a couple F-Bombs in this video
Watch Foo Fighters’ Sold-Out Lollapalooza Aftershow At Metro: If you’ve got some time on your hands, watch the Foos on Chicago’s north side. They start at 16:44 in the video below, but the time leading up to that is occupied by Texans, Explosions in the Sky, who are an amazing band and well worth your listen.
Foo Fighters start at 16:44 – Weather delay from 32:00 through 37:00. You can watch more of Foo Fighters’ Lollapalooza Wet Set below and get more lolla action at 93XRT.com/lollapalooza.
