The singing partners Joy Williams and John Paul White (sounds like a Confederate colonel) made their debut to many for one sweet minute after Paul McCartney performed at the GRAMMYs last year.
The duo, who met by chance nearly three years ago, have just posted an announcement on their Facebook page cancelling all upcoming tour dates due to “internal discord and irreconcilable differences of ambition.”
XRT listeners were aware of the group nearly a year earlier with their song “Barton Hallow” [download as a FREE MP3] the title track to their latest LP.

Joy Williams & John Paul White posted, “We sincerely apologize for the canceling of all of our tour dates. It is something we deeply regret. However, due to internal discord and irreconcilable differences of ambition we are unable to continue as a touring entity at this time. We thank each and every one of you for your amazing love & support. Our sincere hope is to have new music for you in 2013.”
