Album Art
Jack Tatum, better known to the world as Wild Nothing, has finally graced us with his musical presence again. The dream pop artist, set to release his new album “Nocturne” on August 28th, has only let the lead single “Shadow” slip so far.
Beginning his solo career in 2009 under his stage name, Tatum gathered attention after covering Kate Bush’s song “Cloudbusting.” He then signed with Captured Tracks record label and gathered a back up band. Their first album, “Gemini,” was released on May 25th in 2010 and featured their first single “Sumer Holiday.” The album was ranked 49th best of 2010 by Pitchfork Media and 36th by Amazon. They released two EPs in 2010 entitled “Evertide” and “Golden Haze” and also went on tour.
Now the band is back again with their second single off their new album entitled “Paradise.” The song has a chill flow with a strong drum beat that ensures dance-ability. The vocals have an echoed and airy feel that definitely accentuate the “dream” in their genre title. The song has a uniqueness about it that will be sure to capture listeners attention.
You can download and stream the song below and be sure to check out the rest of the album on August 28th.
