The last we heard from Afghan Whigs, frontman Greg Dulli, he was playing with Screaming Trees’ Mark Lanegan as the Gutter Twins, a successful collaboration that brought together two of alternative rock’s greatest frontmen. Both singer-guitarists’ acclaimed bands dissolved around the Millennium with no plans for resurrection or reformation.
The band hasn’t played live in 13 years and hasn’t released an album since 1998, but performed a blistering set at Lollapalooza. A free download has just popped up on their website (find it below). Talk to me baby and I better not hear a word…The Afghan Whigs transmuting Frank Ocean to deep, dark, sex voodoo.
See it here and download for free.
The Whigs will return to Metro for an XRT Show this October
