It’s been a while since we’ve heard studio material from Las Vegas-based stadium-fillers the Killers. During their break, members kept busy working on solo material, particularly frontman Brandon Flowers, who released his solo debut Flamingo.
Now, two years later, the Killers have announced a new album due in September titled Battle Born. The band began work on their fourth record in May of last year and purportedly recorded fifteen songs. The first, you heard today on XRT…
The lead single “Runaways” is characteristically the Killers–anthemic, singalong-friendly, and totally fitting for a stadium audience. The new single made it’s XRT debut this morning, but if you missed it, you can listen here.
Battle Born is due out September 18 via Island Records.
