Last month Alex Ebert aka Edward Sharpe led his 13 piece band through an energetic set of communal, organic music at the Riv. Their set was reminiscent of the some of the package tours of the 50s and 60s, with lots of different singers taking the lead. With an amazing array of instrumentation from trumpet to cello and songs that began and ended as hand clapping chants with the rapt audience following every nuance. Earlier that afternoon, the troupe played a tantalizing thirty minute set that included past hits, “40 Day Dream”, “Home”, and new song “That’s What’s Up” found on the new record.
Man On Fire (Little Daylight Remix) is meant to be played loud and preferably with a large group of people ready to dance.
