Lin’s Big Head
Mary Dixon did a news story about our heads and how they have gotten bigger over the past 7 generations. It’s not just Barry Bonds. It turns out that our heads are getting taller but thinner except for the occasional fathead. Why are our heads getting bigger? Better nutrition and and less physical work are possible but not definite reasons.
It just reminded me of science fiction depictions of advanced civilizations where aliens have cartoon-like cranial capacity. As you can see from the picture above, I am afflicted with the big head syndrome and can only wonder what songs would fit the giant noggin’ genre. Well, of course, I’d pick…

Crazyhead-Time Has Taken Its Toll On Me. A song by a band whose very name invokes a strange head and features lyrics about the ravages of time. In my world, this song should have been a smash. No one visits my world. It’s very lonely here.
The Avett Brothers-Head Full of Doubt/Road Full of Promise. Just because our craniums are expanding it doesn’t mean that we are any more sure of ourselves.
