Hurray for the Riff Raff, an indie-folk band from New Orleans, have released a new track called “Ode to John and Yoko,” featured on their new album Look Out Mama. The record is produced by Andrija Tokic, who has worked with 2012 breakouts Alabama Shakes.
“Ode to John and Yoko” is inspired by frontwoman Alynda Lee Segarra’s recent discovery of the Beatles’ music after growing up in a household that never played the band’s music. Her interest in the Beatles was only deepened by the parallels she noted between hers and John Lennon’s lives.
