Sugar Blue at Rosa’s Saturday
This weekend our live blues pick isn’t for just one show on one night, it’s for a two day event. Part One on Friday evening, Part Two on Saturday evening. It’s not a performance we’re picking, though there will be a performance each night. It’s a symposium that looks to be very interesting, well planned with good speakers and interesting topics, and a lot of fun, too. It’s a two day symposium on Race, Gender and the Blues.
This weekend Dominican University in the near west suburb of River Forest is presenting a two day program on the blues. Blues and the Spirit III, A Symposium on Race, Gender and The Blues includes speakers, a multimedia presentation, a Blues Summit on the state and future of blues, panels, presentations awards and two outings to blues clubs.
Find out everything you need to know by visiting Dominican University’s web page at dom.edu/blues.
