Following the release of the new album King by [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]O.A.R.[/lastfm], the band hit the road for their “Extended Stay Tour“. That tour hit smaller venues, multiple nights in selected cities, and it gave the band the opportunity to get back to an intimate, energetic setting. the fun part was they explored their catalog and played in-front of their longtime hardcore fans.
When they started the process for the album, they were in-between labels. Midway through, they signed with their new home, Wind-up Records. The intimacy continued in our studio as Marc, Richard and Benj gave us a special acoustic performance, featuring three songs from King and my chat with them. Click below for the fun.
“Gotta Be Wrong Sometimes”
The light, summer jam…a fun love song.
The last song that came together which features for the first time on an O.A.R. song, a choir (The Plain Clothes Choir), which gave the song the “life it needed”.
“Back To One”
The first demo done for the album sessions, done with piano and drum machine. For the longest time it was titled “Latte”.
