Norm & Wendy at 4949 W. Belmont Ave.
The first in a series of four monthly XRT 4D Flashback Weekends is devoted to The 1980′s. Tune in this weekend to hear exclusive audio essays contributed by the entire XRT airstaff regarding some of the most memorable events of that era, cultural, political, and of course, musical, as well as personal perspectives on the impact the 80′s had on our lives. Starting tomorrow at 9:00 am, and continuing for thirty-six hours on Saturday and on Sunday until 7:00pm, this weekend will be comprised of an unparalleled variety of music, the majority of which was first heard on XRT.
You can get the full 4D Experience right here all weekend. Check back as we post selections from past issues of Inside XRT, our monthly (pre-XRTMail) listener newsletter.
Below, XRT Program Director, Norm Winer explains what makes XRT sound different in this letter From The P.D.’s Desk published back in June of 1988.
