Are you still wondering why there was no snow this winter? We think it’s because the majority of the year’s precipitation came down in the monsoon on the Sunday of last August’s Lollapalooza. In one of the most fun afternoons on record, Chicago’s backyard was converted from the lovely Grant Park to a literal bucket of mud. Not to worry though, after two months of ground work, including a heaping amount of sod, mulch, and new flowerbeds, and a one million dollar tab picked up by Lolla’s production company C3 Presents, the grounds are back and ready for action. Venue? Check. Next on the list? Entertainment.
[photogallerylink id=94955 align=left]Now what kind of crazy kid buys a $200 3-day pass to a music festival that hasn’t even announced the line-up yet?! Die-hard fans like you, that’s who. But that’s because you know how much fun last year’s Lolla was, with unforgettable performances from My Morning Jacket, Arctic Monkeys, and the sopping wet Foo Fighters. And for those who insist on hearing the line-up first, you don’t have much longer to wait. Be sure to listen to XRT on April 11th as we announce the 2012 Lollapalooza line up, and don’t forget you can enter to win tickets too!
