Muddy Waters was born in Rolling Fork, Mississippi 97 years ago this Wednesday. He died in April of 1983 while living in Western Springs, Illinois. Muddy is our Artist of the Week on Blues Breakers every April.
We’ll also be playing some Etta James recorded live at a club in 1963, blues from a new album by Taildragger and Bob Corritore, some North Mississippi Blues from [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Lightnin’ Malcom[/lastfm] and, really, a whole lot of Muddy.
