Canadian electro-pop trio, Dragonette, blew up the music scene with their catchy hit, “Hello”, where they collaborated with Martin Solveig. It hit the Top 10 in over 30 countries and reached platinum in America.
The band is back from their three year break, after releasing Fixin To Thrill, with their energetic single, “Let It Go.”
As a basement pop group, Dragonette create a dance party with their energetic beats. Singer, Martina Sorbara uses her raspy voice, along with some sass, to move the songs along as well as utilizing her bandmates Dan Kurtz and Joel Stouffer for support. With remixes by Laidback Luke, The Knocks, Faustix & Imanos, the self-written and self-produced Let It Go is bound to be a hit with its club-worthy sound, anthem-like chorus and rhythm that hooks the listener right from the beginning.
The highly anticipated album will be digitally released on April 3rd. Already gaining fans, their recently released single The Right Woman was featured on Diane Von Furstenberg’s compilation Proud To Be Woman Vol. 3. Planning to release many more tracks in the future, the band is gearing up to release a new full-length album. If you love Let It Go, you can catch Dragonette on tour at places such as the Juno Awards and at Coachella. Hear them on XRT’s The Big Beat.
