Although you won’t be able to catch the Stones on stage this year exactly one half century after their formation, you can watch what their long journey has been like on the small screen. Eagle Rock Entertainment will release a so-far unnamed documentary this September that traces the Rolling Stones’ evolution since 1962.

Actually, the documentary will more than just acquaint you with the beloved British rock legends, “the film will deliver the original, bold, sexy and dangerous flavor of the iconic rock band,” says director Brett Morgen. The film will feature never-before-seen and uncensored footage of the band, dug up from personal documents and historical archives, of the band on tour and in the studio. Morgan continues, “This is the film that will defy convention and create a sonic tapestry to transport viewers into the world of the Rolling Stones.”
