All the way from Memphis…

You listen to classic rock radio stations around the country, and what do you hear? [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]AC/DC[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Led Zeppelin[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Van Halen[/lastfm], minimal [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]T. Rex[/lastfm], etc. You rarely hear anything from [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Big Star[/lastfm]. Their three albums released in the ’70s are all on Rolling Stone’s list of the top 500 albums of all time, the band was revered by [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]R.E.M.[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]The Replacements[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Wilco[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Beck[/lastfm]… The list goes on and on.

If this sounds like a band in desperate need of a documentary, well, you’re in luck. “Big Star: Nothing Can Hurt Me” is in the works and you can see a minute and a half of what the film’s all about below.
