Shemekia Copeland at S.P.A.C.E. on March 3, 2012
Saturday night was another great night of blues at a 93XRT Show at The Society for the Preservation of Art and Culture in Evanston (S.P.A.C.E.) Shemekia Copeland looked and sounded even better than ever.

Shemekia with guitarist Arthur Nielson
Shemekia played songs from early in her career as well as from her new album which is recorded and nearly ready to go and is expected to be released this September. She also had great stories to tell about meeting President Obama and singing with Mick Jagger at a recent appearance as part of a blues supergroup that appeared a couple of weeks ago at the White House. Special thanks to concert going guy and photographer Ed Spinelli for taking these beautiful pictures of Shemekia.
