Like, really. First he knocked out a little Al Green, and last night [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]B.B. King[/lastfm] got him to sing a few lines of “Sweet Home Chicago.” The video below shows a few minutes of a special that’s scheduled to run on PBS on the 27th. Quite the band they had playing that night, too. In addition to B.B., [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Mick Jagger[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Booker T. Jones[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Buddy Guy[/lastfm] and [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Derek Trucks[/lastfm] were laying it down for the Commander In Chief.
Look, no matter what you think of Obama as a president, you have to admire the pipes a little bit. I thought George W. Bush’s presidency was one of the worst things ever to happen to Western civilization, but I respected his arm and thought it was pretty cool when he’d throw out the first pitch from 60′ 6″ and pump one right down the middle.
