When Chicago Blues legend [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Hubert Sumlin[/lastfm] passed away in December of last year there was a tremendous outpouring of love for the sweet, humble man who had been one of the most influential guitar players in the history of the music. Mick Jagger and Keith Richards agreed to pay for all of Hubert’s funeral expenses, and on the day his body was laid to rest there was a wonderful benefit jam at FitzGerald’s in Berwyn. Now, having had some time to plan, a much more ambitious event is set for New York City later this month.

That New York ticket price is a *bit* higher than Fitzgeralds and we had Billy Branch and Mud Morganfield. And Bob Margolin. Just sayin’.
