[photogallerylink id=67314 align=left]What’s new with Jack White? Well, his latest collaboration will be feature none other than Tom Jones. The duo recorded a cover of Howlin’ Wolf’s “Evil (Is Going On).” The single will be a part of a Blues Series produced by Third Man in Nashville.
The Blues Series will also include pieces by Stephen Colbert and the Insane Clown Posse.
Third Man Records also has plans to give the re-issue treatment to many blues pioneers that influenced White over the years. The White Swirl tells us we can expect, “Re-mastered, redesigned,” and pressed on “high-quality vinyl”, releases early this year. The collection will include hits from Blind Willie McTell, Charley Patton, and the Mississippi Sheiks. In the meantime re-examine the Stripes’ 2000 revision of McTell’s “Lord, Send Me An Angel” below.
