The influential new-wave band has released a new with footage that spans their entire career, from their early days playing with the punks at CBGB’s, to the band’s legendary Speaking in Tongues tour, to their final reunion at their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
‘Chronology’ pulls together live performances across Talking Heads’ career, through their breakthrough years in the late seventies and on to global success in the eighties.
They completed their last tour in 1983 although they would continue to make very successful albums throughout the eighties before officially breaking up in 1991. The DVD concludes with their “reunion” performance of “Life During Wartime” on their induction into the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall Of Fame in 2002.
The limited edition compilation is going to be loaded with bonus features and extras, including a 48-page book chronicling the band’s prolific career, an original review by Lester Bangs for their 1979 Fear of Music album, and much more. In addition to the concert footage, the DVD will include interviews with David Byrne, Tina Weymouth, Jerry Harrison, and Chris Frantz.
