Ryan Adams Album CoversRyan played his last show with The Cardinals at the Fox Theatre here in Atlanta on March 20, 2009. Drummer Brad Pemberton is quoted as saying, “Everyone was a bit fried, so it was the right time to step back for a minute. I encouraged Ryan to go and get married, and have a life and find some peace; the guy hasn’t really slowed down in ten years, and he needed it as much as we did.” He married Mandy that month in Savannah, Georgia.

Photo Session with Ryan AdamsAdams toured Europe in June of this year, and said it was the most fun he’d ever had. “I just felt really connected and it seemed to me that the people that I was playing for also felt really connected, and it was nice that there wasn’t anything getting in the way of the music.”
